Your unlocked codes and settings are stored 100% locally on your device (in the browser's 'Local Storage'). There is no background database storing your data. This guarantees maximum privacy.

Since data is stored locally, it does not automatically sync between devices. However, you can easily enter your Edition Key on multiple devices (e.g., smartphone and laptop). The codes will then be unlocked on both devices.

If you clear your browser data (cache/cookies), the locally stored information will be lost. But don't worry: You can simply re-enter your Edition Key, and all content will be available again.

Secret Codes is a Web App (PWA). You can 'Add to Home Screen' via your browser's share function. It then behaves almost like a real app but requires no App Store download.

No. Purchasing an edition is a one-time payment via Stripe or Twint. There is no subscription and no recurring costs.
